Best of 2010 : part III

Here it is for main confirmed 2010 albums with the two previous posts. You may understand I've consciously left out a few others simply because they're not part of my best of. Egocentric explanation : After all Random Trax was born to spread my music tastes, not others.
Anyway, a last list from A to T to deal with tempting rumors you could find all over the web. Little (and short) review of dreams haunting your nights, you musical lover :

Friendly Fires - Paris (Aeroplane Remix)

- Vito and Steph, the two Belgian DJs composing Aeroplane, are mostly dealing with remixes. Just wait for this album they're about to conclude to be released.

Animal Collective - Summertime Clothes

- Animal Collective have been working for 3 years on a 'Visual Project' which is a kind of a VJ (Video-Jockey) thing, the goal being to expresse pictures we imagine while closing our eyes and listening to their music. Yes guys, but what do you want to do with it? The American band answered they're going to try to feature it into cinemas and theaters before a DVD release.

PNAU - Baby (Breakbot Remix)

- Breakbot has signed earlier to Ed Banger Records, Busy P's label. Signing on a new label = new release. Let's be confident.

- Night by Night by Chromeo = third studio album? For Summer?

Phoenix - Lisztomania (Holy Ghost! Love Paris Remix)

- Jerry Fuchs, Holy Ghost! and many other bands' (LCD Soundsystem, !!!, The Juan McLean...) drummer tragically died recently. Sad news for the music world, and no touring for his two NY mates, so why not an album after a few months of rest?

Klaxons - Gravity's Rainbow (Kavinsky Remix)

- Already 3 EPs for Vincent Belorgey a.k.a. Kavinsky, a few appearances in some movies, but no LP. Pacific Coast Highway is about to be released in 2010, let's hope it's an album.

- One year after strange and fascinating Fantasy Black Channel, Late of the Pier are about to release a new single called Blueberry. Produced with Erol Alkan (coolest Turkish DJ for sure), it will be out on his Phantasy label in a few days, before beeing re-edited in February with Best In The Class. Both are listenable here. There is less than 8 months between a single and an album, isn't it?

- Les Midnight Juggernauts ont sorti This New Technology récemment. La promesse d'un album pour bientôt.

Midnight Juggernauts - This New Technology

- Midnight Juggernauts have released the single This New Technology recently. Promise of a new LP.

Sigur Ros - Vid Spilum Endalaust

- Sigur Ros or Island splendour announced last May their eighth studio album was nearly ready.

The Rapture - Get Myself Into It (SebastiAn Remix)

- The Rapture have been working on new material since bassist Mattie Safer has left the band.

Metric - Help I'm Alive (The Twelves Remix)

- The Twelves, 'Brazilian Daft Punk' dealing with skills, 'Brazilian Aeroplane' dealing with need in remixing everything's running in the air, could have the great idea to compose their own music. And it probably won't be so bad.

And you, dear readers, what do you want the most in this best of, what are the bands you'd love they come back to work as soon as possible, what are your dreams for 2010?

That's all folks!

Anonyme a dit…

It's fairly common knowledge that PCH is going to be an EP dude.

I didn't know it, thanks.
