RR #8 : Cullen x Redial

Cullen - Easily Impressed (Redial Remix)

The main problem when you create a musical project and choose to call it Cullen is you're not very easy to find on Google. Even by adding 'myspace' to the key words, you'll find a bunch of crappy 'my angel Edward Cullen', 'love of my life : Edward Cullen' or even this very cute page dedicated to Rosalie Cullen, her dead husband and their lovely little devil born on my 20th birthday but already and forever aged 6. WIN. But your devoted host is a genius and finally found where this young Melburnian was hidden.
He has just released his first single Easily Impressed, featuring his teenage-band-like voice (as heard in Death Cab for Cutie, Jimmy Eat World, Phantom Planet or any other band composing The O.C., One Tree Hill or Gossip Girl's soundtracks) on a melody which is a nice blend between Phoenix and The Killers, for a sweet result. But my heart definitely goes to the Redial remix. And after having listened to it over and over for a couple of hours, I just wonder if once in a lifetime groove Rob Frier could make a crappy remix. Kind of utopian, isn't it?

iPlay a dit…
