When you were young

Music specialists think that post-rock, this kind of music which diverts an instrument from its usual use, is a music from the future (yes you might have noticed that in post-rock there is post). Blue Man Group have been proving the contrary for 20 years, throughout their fabulous music only played live. Phil Stanton, Chris Wink and Matt Goldman have been hitting pipes for 20 years, accompanied by 35 musicians. Yes, 38 persons on the same scene, it's a lot of people. I've just forgotten to specify this group is divided in seven parts, one who's settled in Las Vegas all year long, the others travelling aroung the world. A Blue Man Group live performance, it's an exceptionnal moment with the three blue men on the photo above playing with the crowd, hitting pipes (don't make me believe you've never thought to be a rockstar drumer by doing the same thing when you were young), playing on a piano laying on his side, brillant idea which let a group member hitting the piano strings with a hammer, but also hitting "fountain drums", that is to say drums with some coloured water poured on it ; by hitting the drum top, the water is flying like a rain of stars created by the lights hidden into the drums. Blue Man Group is an awesome live performance, a shaking dance led by this three blue men which motivation is to make laugh the crowd, to give them noisy and magnificent memories for their eyes and ears, for all the people to leave happy and smiling!
I let you watch their live performance's intro in video, and I'm so sweet with you so I also let you listen to the track played in the video (which is Above) at the end of this post, and here is the link to watch the complete Complex Rock Tour, which is from 2003... Just click here, it's amazing!
