Minitel Rose - Wild Birds
Oh yeah, how bizarre wild birds they are. If this trio I don't need to present anymore (if needed, read here) has not a massive past yet, it's only because their story is just beginning.
Mini-album, EP, own lavel... all this stuff was already in their hands, the only lack being the confirmation of their incredible talent. Yes, you're not dreaming, Minitel Rose's first album is on the way to you and will be released on June 7th through the Internet (pre-order it now on Itunes) before invading your local disc store on June 14th.
Atlantique is not a concept-album dedicated to Neptune but ocean's definitely there, through the names (Wild Birds, Captain, Ocean's Call) and the amazing sound. Ocean's call is precisely what has brought our 3 friends to leave their underground studio and lend a big house waterside, in order not to take any risk in producing a crappy album.
"Between underground and mainstream", to quote Raphaël? That's a global and pretty fair vision of their musical style, but trying to get deeper, I'd describe it as a magic blend of italo-disco, retro-futuristic synth-wave and cheesy electro-rock. First time ever in France?
An electro band which is turning into a rock band without any string instrument while jumping on the stage, that's clearly avant-garde music. Not trying to deal with a visit to our children not even considered yet, these 3 guys distil a sweet liquid which is, more than an appetizing delicacy, the magical elixir taking us to a dream trip into what is waiting for us in the Futur.

A +
